This little man decided that he no longer needed me or the floaties.

He is so proud of himself!

And I am so proud of him!

What Happens at the Lake Stays at the Lake!!!!

Ella and my niece, Leah, was having a little fun taking photos. My favorite is the lip pucker.

 Ella adores Leah!

Ella is still full of facial expressions hence the cutting the eyes photo.

Ella absolutely loves the water. Some of her favorite words these days are boat, pim (swim), kick, and splash.

Love the ruffle butt and pig tails. Melt my heart!

The kids love the Lake but it wipes them out after a couple of hours. Naps give mama and daddy a little peace on the lake.

One year later the boys still adore her and the feelings are mutual.

We love creating memories as a family at the lake.

I hope my kiddos treasure them later on as much as we do.

But remember...........

Date Night

We celebrated 11 years of marriage on May 19th. Nat was out of town for our anniversary and we have been trying to have a night out ever since.

It was a perfect night for an outside dinner and live music. And a little added bonus... two of the band members were friends of ours. Good times!

Derby Day

May is a good month to be in Kentucky!

Joe and Holly invited us to go to the Derby party with them at the country club.

We got all fancied up and had so much fun!!

My sweet hubby even bought me a pretty hat!

Love this man!

Shortly after we arrived some of our other friends joined us. Brittany unwillingly came and then she brought Gretchen along with her. I think they were glad after they got there.

The handsome hubs!

That's me cheering on my winning horse! Yep, it paid for our fun day!
I couldn't believe I picked the winner because I picked it by his fun name.

I'll Have Another!

It has been a joy getting to know this beautiful friend this past year! We have been teaching this northern girl some southern hospitality.  Glad you joined us Gretchen!

What a fun day!
