Celebrating the big 60!

It is so hard to get all my family together for a get away but we pulled it off for dads 60th birthday. Matter of fact...... we even surprised him! He didn't know where he was going until 15 minutes before they arrived. 

We went up a night early and enjoyed the morning in Paducah doing a little shopping and going into all the antique shops. Nolan was so funny. We walked into the first store and he said, "This is like American Pickers." We love watching that show. Nat found a couple of treasures. 

The kids couldn't wait for their cousins to get there. 

The night was filled with games, wrestling, good food, football, and watching Mrs. America. 

 Patti's Restaurant is a must when you go to Grand Rivers. They are known for their 2 inch pork chop and their mile high meringue pies.

We were a little sneaky and told them it was his birthday.

The whole room joined us in singing.

We bought a whole pie to take with us.

The men were watching football and kicked us out so we had to watch  Mrs. America in another room. Logan, my 12 year old nephew, decided he would check out the pretty girls with us. 

The best part was all five of the boys decided to put on their very own Mr. America pageant. We have not laughed that hard in a long time. We were having so much fun we didn't capture it on camera or video. I wish we had.  Nolan pulled off the win though! 

We had the works for breakfast the next morning. YUM!

We ended the trip with a little pool and pop time. 

This boy loves his pop! We all do!

Dad, we were so excited to all share your 60th together. 

A daughter couldn't ask for a better dad. And the grandkids look up to you so much.
