Dance in the Rain

Today was a little disappointing.

I think everyone in our EP batch was given their visa physical date, for next Wednesday, except us. I have to admit I have been pretty bummed and a crazy emotional mess today. However, I know everything is going to be ok and it is in God's hands.

I needed a little time out of the house to myself for a breather and where does a woman go.....the MALL! I pretty much just wondered around enjoying myself and I went into Kirklands. The first thing I see is a frame that said, "Life is not waiting for the storm to pass... it's dancing in the rain." Right beside of that one was, "If God leads you to it, He will get you through it." Those are words right from my dads mouth. I love that one.

Just a reminder that I am not in control, so I'm choosing to dance in the rain.

  1. Cindy, God led you where you needed to be tonight, he always knows what we need. It's one o'clock in the morning, and I'm up with a migraine, but had to check Ella's blog, glad I did. Can you believe that both of the Reed grandgirls will turn one this week? I think it's so amazing what God has done in our lives:) These little cousins, will be together soon. I sent Ella her new tote bag today...fill it up for her! I'll be praying for travel news this next week:)

  3. In His Time, In His time,
He makes all things beautiful in his time
Lord, please show me every day,
As You're teaching me Your way
That You do just what You say in You're time.

In You're time, In You're time,
You make all thing beautiful in You're time
Lord, My life to you I bring,
May each song I have to sing
Be to You a lovely thing, in You're time.

  4. Love the little sign you read! God has a way of showing us our direction. I so so SO wish you were there with us. You could still be! I'm still holding out for you and Ella! Although I didn't like this at times, it's so try - God's timing....God's timing. Hold on Cindy, to whatever it is that helps! Hugs to you, and I still say I'll see you in Seoul! :)

  5. Cindy,

As you know from past experiences, I'm the worlds worst at being patient. It is something that I struggle with all the time. I remember in the Ester study that we did together - this verse stood out to me during a lesson.

    Isaiah 40:31
But those who WAIT on the LORD shall RENEW their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

In that lesson, Beth Moore talked about that in times of waiting, the Lord actually uses this time to RENEW our strength in Him and on Him. He wants us to put our eyes on His face and not of our earthly wants and waits. Now, as someone who had just experienced a miscarriage during that time -waiting was my enemy (as you know). So, my struggle in those times was to set my eyes upward and allow Him to renew my strength. My prayer is that your faith will be strengthen in the next few weeks as you walk your very LAST steps to meet your beautiful daughter.

I know that you have put all your faith in Him during this entire process. I so admire your patience, enthusiasm, positivity and trust. I am in awe of your journey and can't wait to see HIS plan unfold for your sweet family.
